You can find such shows very easily on streaming platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, or you could stick to the old Cable TV service too. You could opt for something like Spectrum TV where the channel lineup is so vast, you will definitely find some show that is based on friendships.

However, if you are looking for a list of shows to watch, then you have come to the right place. Make sure to read all the way to the end for a list of shows based on friendship that we think you should watch for sure!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

We are definitely going to start this list off with everyone’s favorite, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The show is about New York City cops and how life is for them on a daily basis. This might sound boring but it is the iconic element of comedy that makes the show a must-watch. The show is about a gay Police Captain, Raymond Holt, and his squad of detectives that might seem dysfunctional at first but they are among the best you would ever see. We also get to see other iconic characters such as Jake Peralta with his childish yet charming humor, Amy Santiago who is a know-it-all, Gina Linetti who is just plain weird, Charles Boyle who is an awkward individual and a lot more.

At the end of the day, it is the squad’s unity and friendship that made us fall in love with the show and its characters. Each character makes sure to play their part in fulfilling their duties as friends and always make sure to have each other’s backs, showing you that even your work friends can be like family. Nine-Nine!!!

    Friends

This list wouldn’t have been possible without the mention of Friends that not only took the world by storm back in the late 90s but even today the show is still as popular as it was back then. The show is about a couple of friends in their late 20s (or maybe early 30s) and how cohesive their friendship is with each other. These friends include Ross Geller and his sister Monica Geller, Rachel Greene, Chandler Bring, Joey Tribbiani, and Phoebe Buffay.

The best part about the show was how invested all of these friends were in each other’s lives and always made sure to stay up to date with each other and lift each other up when needed. Anyone who is a true fan of Friends would agree when we say that Joey was the best “friend” among all the friends because he always put his friends first.

      Riverdale

Riverdale might have gotten a bit weird with time but it is still among the best ones when it comes to a portrayal of friendship. The show is a live-action adaptation of the hit comic Archie. The show did have a dark undertone as it revolved around murder and mysteries but the characters in the show made sure that they would stand together through it all. These characters include the entire iconic Archie gang including Archi, Jughead, Veronica, and Betty.

These four characters made sure that they would keep the show going and they showed what standing with each other actually means no matter how tough the circumstances may get. If you are looking for a  show that truly is centered on friendships, then you should definitely have Riverdale on your list.

        Stranger Things

While the most intriguing element of Stranger Things is its Sci-Fi theme, another thing that really had us hooked to the show was how important the idea of friendship is in the show. The friendship is actually so good that it is overwhelming. Despite the fact that they were all kids that grew up into teens, the way they seriously take their friendship is just adorable. The friendship includes characters such as Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Max, Lucas, Will, Steve, Jonathan, and Nancy. All of them work together to save Hawkins from monsters that have traveled from an alternate universe to launch an attack.

Although, the story is a lot more than that and you will have to watch the show to figure it out yourself. Stranger Things is definitely the kind of show that everyone should watch once because it is an interesting and beautiful show. You would be glad to know that the show is up for the fifth and final season and we honestly can’t wait for it!

          Wrapping Up

Watching shows that are centered on friendships definitely gives you a new perspective on life and brings you closer to your friends since you start seeing your friends with the affection that you notice in shows. So make the best out of your friendships and make sure that you watch all the shows mentioned in this list!
